This playful and narrative learning experience, integrated into the LEGO pedagogical concept, encourages students to explore STEAM concepts while promoting their socio-emotional, linguistic and mathematical development.

This 449-piece set includes four minifigures, each with its own personality, that serve as narrators to make problem solving accessible to all.

The kit also includes a colourful selection of age-appropriate LEGO bricks, spare parts, and a sturdy storage box with color-coded sorting trays to facilitate classroom construction and management.

SPIKE Essential, part of the LEGO educational concept, offers five units, each containing eight 45-minute lessons of STEAM content consistent with school curricula.

Each lesson includes comprehensive online lesson plans with additional math and language activities. We also provide assessment grids and teacher support videos.

To help teachers build confidence and prepare for successful teaching of STEAM content using the LEGO learning concept, SPIKE Essential is supported by a comprehensive professional development program.

Battery & power

Programming using icon and word blocks, and simple components (including a two-port smart hub, two small motors, a light matrix, and a color sensor), brings students' creations to life.
